How much does a guided tour cost ?
For a guided tour of up to 2 hours you pay 8 euros per person with a minimum of 90 euros.
Groups of more than 100 people pay a maximum of 125 euros per guide.
Each additional hour will cost 45 euros per guide.
You pay by bank transfer after receipt of the invoice that we will send you by e-mail.
For the “Gourmet walk” you pay a supplement of 8 euros per person for the snacks. You pay this in cash to the guide. If you opt for the ‘wet’ version of a beer walk you pay 9 euros extra per person for a tasting bed of 3 beers.
For a visit to the tower of the Central University Library you pay 5 euros per person.
How long in advance do you need to book ?
It is best to reserve your guide three weeks in advance.
If you book less than 5 days in advance of the walk, we charge an additional administration fee of 10 euros.
How many guides do I need ?
For bike tours and for the walks “Gourmet Walk” and “Leuven AuthentHip” there is a maximum of 20 people per guide.
For all other walks we provide 1 guide for a group of up to 25 people.
If the number of parrticipants is less than the original ordered number, tot the extent that you will need one less guide, and you do not give us prior notice, an extra guide wille still be charged (at 80 euros, 90 euros from 2024 on).
In which languages can we request a tour ?
All walks and bike tours can be guided in Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish ;
How do I find the guide?
The guide will carry a badge of “Guide-Leuven+” and will be waiting for you at the agreed departure point. The guide will stay 30 minutes on the spot.
What happens if we are too late at the place of appointment ?
If you do not show up or notify us 30 minutes after the agreed starting time, we have the right to cancel the walk. In that case the entire reservation fee will be invoiced.
The walk always ends at the agreed time, even if the group arrived too late. If you still want a full walk, we will charge the extra time according to our standard rate (45 euros per hour started).
What if I have to cancel ?
Please notify us in time if you are unable to come. We do not charge a fee for cancellations up to 5 days before your visit After that you will owe an administrative fee of 65 euros per guide.
What do I need to bear in mind if I want to visit the city by coach ?

The coach must provide a seat with microphone for the guide. The coach will not leave the site until the guide has given instructions.
Are all the buildings in Leuven always accessible?
It is always possible that a building will be closed to visitors (e.g. due to an event or restoration work) In this case the guide will always suggest an alternative.
